Cruse Gwent - Tovey Bros has close links with CRUSE Gwent who can be contacted on 02920 889227 for information on a wide range of issues, both practical and emotional, relating to bereavement. They are an excellent source of support and a helpful resource. Their offices are open Monday to Friday 10.30am to 12.30pm. CRUSE Gwent also runs a Friendship Group which meets every Monday morning. For further information or for anyone interested in becoming a counsellor please call the CRUSE Gwent number.
RD4U - is a website designed for young people by young people. It is part of Cruse Bereavement Care's Youth Involvement Project and is here to support people after the death of someone close. RD4U means the 'road for you' - the main aim of the site is to let you find your own 'road' to dealing with your loss.
WELSH WIDOWS - are a group of people who have lost their loved ones through a variety of different circumstances. They are all at different points on this journey of grief, but have managed to find each other and meet up either via this website www.welshwidows.co.uk or in person.
Our group is currently made up of both men and women from different backgrounds of ALL ages some with children some without.
Together we have helped each other, but realize that there are many others who could benefit from being able to chat to people who are in the same situation, either via the website or in person, in a safe environment, where everyone understands what you are feeling and going through.
SWAN - (Something for Women Alone Now) - Many women find themselves alone now, as a result of the death of their partner, or from divorce. 'Swan' is a group for ladies like us who would like a chance to go out and need someone to go with.
'Swan' is a handy acrostic to explain what we are about, but also symbolic of the life we live - calm on the outside, but frantic paddling going on underneath just to stay afloat.
If this group appeals to you please contact Ann Nias on 01633 880619
