Funeral mourner numbers permitted sees slight increase

In line with the latest government guidelines, Tovey Bros can now announce a slight increase in funeral attendance numbers locally, with immediate effect:

• Gwent Crematorium has increased mourner numbers from 20 to 30 inside. Numbers outside are now unlimited – the venue has upgraded their external speakers – but have asked visitors to exercise caution in terms of social distancing.
• Permitted numbers at Langstone Vale Crematorium remain at 30 inside but numbers outside are also unlimited – but again, please exercise caution in terms of social distancing.
• Newport Cemeteries have also expanded mourner numbers from 30 to 40.
• Receptions – each venue can set their own limit according to their own risk assessment. No limit on gatherings in private gardens.
