Des sadly passed away on 11th July 2026, aged 69 years
He was a much loved dad, grandad and brother, and a great friend to many.
His funeral will be held on Friday 28th August at Langstone Vale Crematorium at 2.30pm
Afterwards, everyone is welcome to join us at Ringland Labour Club to remember Des and celebrate his life with music, stories and a drink.
Music was such a big part of Des’s life, so it feels right that we celebrate him that way.
Family flowers only, please. Donations in Des’ memory, made payable to Help Musicians may be given at the service, online or sent c/o Tovey Bros, 9/11 Cardiff Road, Newport, NP20 2EH.
