Passed away peacefully on 26 February 2026, Sheila Mary Saunders, aged 99, of Capel Grange Nursing Home, and previously of St Julian’s Road, Newport.
A much loved wife of the late Cyril, lovely Mum to Barbara, Jill, Kay, Robert and the late Anne. A loved Grandma to Scott, Claire, Josephine, Imogen, and Eleanor. Great Grandma to Jack, Liam and Sophie and a dear friend to many. Sheila will be remembered lovingly by all who knew her.
The funeral service will take place at Gwent Crematorium, Tre-Herbert Road, Cwmbran NP44 2BZ on Tuesday 7 April at 2pm and afterwards the family will be welcoming attendees to share stories and memories of Sheila at the Greenmeadow Golf Club.
Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Alzheimer’s Society or St David’s Hospice may be given at the service or sent c/o Tovey Bros, 9-11 Cardiff Road, Newport. NP20 2EH.
Attendees are kindly asked to wear formal attire with a touch of pink or purple in memory of Sheila.
