Peacefully passed away at home on 25th July 2026, aged 77 years.

Beloved husband of Gillian, much loved dad of Claire, Emma and Alex, cherished grandad of Robyn, Courtney, Ella, Kai, Max and Theo, proud great-grandad of Tallie, and dearly loved brother of Mags and Maureen.

Known for his kindness, quiet strength and wonderful sense of humour, David will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Funeral service to be held on Tuesday 25th August at 1.30pm at Gwent Crematorium, Croesyceiliog.

Following the service, all are welcome to join the family at Greenmeadow Golf & Country Club.

At David’s request, no formal funeral attire is necessary. Those wishing to do so are invited to wear something green in his memory, as it was his favourite colour.

Family flowers only. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, are for St David’s Hospice Care and may be given at the service, online or sent c/o Tovey Bros, 9/11 Cardiff Road, Newport, NP20 2EH.
