Peacefully on 1st October at Millheath Nursing Home, Bettws, surrounded by all of his loving family, Basil sadly passed away. Much loved husband of Nancy, father of Elizabeth, Joanne, Sharon & partners, a loving grandfather and great grandfather to all his lovely grandchildren. Formerly of the Royal Regiment of Wales (3RRW) and retired steel worker at Llanwern Steelworks.
The funeral service for Basil John Woods will be held at 10am on Thursday 31st October 2024 at Langstone Vale Crematorium.

Traditional wear please. Close family flowers only. Donations, if desired, for Millheath Nursing Home, may be given at the service or sent c/o Tovey Bros, 9-11 Cardiff Road, Newport, NP20 2EH. Following the service, the family would like you to join them at Bettws Social Club for refreshments and to share all your memories of Basil.
